The CAF America Friends Fund is an exciting, cost-effective alternative for foreign charitable organizations seeking to improve their support from US donors. How long does eligibility last with CAF America? 

Length of eligibility is completely dependent upon the application and review process, however standard eligibility periods with CAF America last for: three years if properly registered in the UK, US, Australia, or Canada; two years for organizations in all other countries.

What do I do if my organization’s eligibility with CAF America expires? 

When your organization’s eligibility is due to expire, you may renew your eligibility status at no additional cost. You will need to complete and sign a new GEA in full, sign an accompanying addendum asking for verification that none of the organizing documents have changed (or, if they have, you will need to submit any updated documents), and submit your most recent audited financial statements along with a current list of directors/trustees.

Quarterly Disbursements | January, April, July, and October

Check Donations | Posted within two weeks

Online Donations (via your CAF America donation page): 

  • Entered into the CAF America system within one week
  • Posted within one month

Fund Contribution Form

Here is your standard Friends Fund gift form. Please ask any donors donating to your Friends Fund to complete this form and attach it to their donation (or send via email to friendsfunds@cafamerica.org). If you would like to customize this standard gift form with your organization’s logo, please let friendsfunds@cafamerica.org know.

Donor Due Diligence

Donor Due Diligence (DDD) is required on any donor donating over 17,000 USD over a three month period.
