Annual Account Management Fee FAQs

When is the Annual Account Management Fee payment due?

The payment is due June 1, 2026. Payment or proof of payment must be sent by this date, or your fund will be closed. For all payments made after June 1, 2026, 1.5% late fee will be applied to the outstanding balance. Please contact friendsfunds@cafamerica.org to confirm your new total if you are paying after June 1.

 

How do I pay my Annual Account Management Fee invoice?

Direct Payment Option:

You can pay your invoice directly via check or wire transfer only. Credit card payments are not accepted.

  • Wire Transfer: Wire account details were included in the email from friendsfunds@cafamerica.org along with your invoice. Please reference the invoice number when you make the wire payment. All banking fees must be included in your payment. As fees vary by bank, please add enough to ensure the full invoice amount is paid.

Automatic Charge Option:

If your account has sufficient funds to cover the full Annual Account Management Fee, we will charge the account directly – no action is required. If your organization prefers to receive an invoice instead of automatic payment, please notify us by April 16, 2026.

Donor Payments:

Donors may choose to pay your Annual Account Management Fee on your behalf. However, please note that donors will not receive a tax receipt for this payment. Any donor contributions toward your Annual Account Management Fee must be coordinated directly between your organization and the donor.

 

Can I receive my invoice before May 1, 2026?

No, all invoices will be issued on May 1, 2026.

 

My Friends Fund opened after April 30, 2025, and I’ve already paid the opening fee. Do I owe any additional fees?

Yes, new funds will be charged a pro-rated fee that covers their fund management until April 2027. Please review your invoice after it is received, and if you have any questions or concerns, please email friendsfunds@cafamerica.org.

 

Our organization would like to close our Friends Fund.

If your organization chooses not to renew your Friends Fund, please email us at friendsfunds@cafamerica.org before June 1, 2026.

Upon closure:

  • The remaining balance in your account will be disbursed to your organization.
  • If your organization is not eligible to receive grants from CAF America at the time of closure, the remaining balance will be transferred to the CAF America Advancement Fund per Section 6 of your Fund Agreement.
