CAF America has announced they will host the 2025 International Grantmaking Symposium (IGS) on April 9-10, 2025 in Miami, Florida. The IGS will bring together leaders in the field to learn effective strategies for cross-border giving from the U.S. in support of charities and charitable causes abroad.
The theme of the 2025 International Grantmaking Symposium is Move Forward Together: Cross-border Grantmaking for Impactful Partnerships. It will focus on how the tools available to U.S. foundations for funding non-exempt organizations can be deployed to support a wide range of innovative partnerships for impact, anywhere in the world. Through intensive skill-building workshops and presentations by leading experts and practitioners, our programming will explore applied approaches to funding nonstandard grantees, supporting public and private sector programs as well as charities in unique and difficult situations.
Attendees will leave the 2025 IGS better equipped to implement the rules and regulations of cross-border grantmaking and to support novel models of partnership funding, unlocking more giving opportunities and opening doors for more people around the world access to U.S. philanthropic capital.
“The role of funders in supporting the most vulnerable among us is increasingly vital, yet international grantmakers face mounting challenges in meeting this need,” says CAF America’s President and CEO, Jessie Krafft. “At our upcoming International Grantmaking Symposium, we are committed to providing a clear roadmap for our fellow professionals through sessions on forward-thinking giving strategies and interactive, hands-on workshops focused on collaboration.
