I am Sophie Faust, the Senior Officer Grants Services Liaison on the Grant Services team at CAF America. My responsibilities include supporting charity organizations worldwide through our grant eligibility process to help them achieve eligibility with CAF America.
My start in the nonprofit sector began with an internship in Bengaluru, India, with an organization addressing the various problems that children and their communities face to help end child labor. These experiences helped shape my twenty-year professional career in philanthropy managing funding opportunities for the government, private and corporate sectors. Most recently, I was managing funding opportunities for a United States and Canada animal welfare funder to build the capacity of animal welfare organizations and help homeless pets find homes through adoption.
In my spare time, I enjoy travel especially if it involves experiencing animals in their natural habitats, time with friends and family, paddleboarding, and playing pickleball.
I earned a BA in Sociology from North Central College, Naperville, IL. I also earned a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and volunteer at my local library in Pueblo, CO, teaching ESL.
