As the Vice President of Innovation & Strategy I use my experience in organizational operations and process improvement to help CAF America increase efficiency, reduce administrative costs, and further its mission to be a place where employees can thrive and make a difference every day. Through collaboration with other leaders and team members throughout the organization, our department helps CAF America remain agile and ready to meet the needs of a changing world.
I originally come from the for-profit world, working at SaaS vendors in the grantmaking, giving, matching, and volunteering space to run effectively and maximize the dollars going to organizations in need. During my time at companies like CyberGrants (now Bonterra), I developed new processes and helped implement new technologies, from building entirely new distribution engines to overhauling nonprofit organization vetting to make it more secure, consistent, and faster. Team management has been critical throughout and I’m proud of the people I’ve worked with and the impacts they have made.
I’m a member of the Association of Latino Professionals for America and graduated from Cornell University where I studied both history and philosophy. I currently live in Pittsburgh, PA with my wife, two kids, two cats, and a dog (unless something else wandered in, too).
