Michaelen Barsness

I am a CPA with over 33 years of professional work experience. Prior to joining CAF as the Controller in November 2024, I most recently served as the CFO of an independent school. I have over 11 years experience as an SVP/VP and Controller in large, global nonprofit organizations, 10 years in data warehousing, and 9 years in public accounting. I enjoy managing people and I encourage team work and focus on customer service. My teams have said that I am a “calming factor” as I am not easily flustered or stressed. I am easily able to change my focus as priorities change and focus on getting work done. I am a proponent of change and encourage the use of new systems and process enhancements to improve work flow.
