Hello! I am Emily Fahlsing, an Associate with Grant Services on the Standard Risk Team. I work with grantee organizations across the world and United States throughout the eligibility application and due diligence review process.
Before moving to Washington, D.C, I lived in New York City where I graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2021, with a B.A. in Political Science and International Human Rights, with minors in Anthropology and Economics. During my studies, I gained particularly advanced social science research experience and was deeply involved with the Columbia University Senate, as a Legislative Aide and Chief of Staff.
Before joining CAF America, I worked at a locally renowned bakery for a change of pace after moving to D.C.
Outside of work, I continue a personal commitment to democratic participation by serving as a local Election Official, and enjoy discovering new cuisines, tending to my many houseplants, completing new puzzles, and appreciating a beautiful sunset.
