Project Syndicate Friends Fund
At a time when political polarization, state-sponsored influence campaigns, the consolidation of media ownership, and the undisclosed use of AI are undermining trust in the media and making it harder to know what (or whom) to believe, human expertise is more necessary than ever. Original analysis from experts who have spent years, if not decades, working in their fields can cut through falsehoods and challenge received wisdom, helping readers make better sense of the forces shaping the world around them.
For more than 30 years, Project Syndicate has worked to bring the ideas of the world’s leading thinkers to as many people as possible. Our model has made that possible, with fees paid by news organizations in developed countries subsidizing the distribution of our op-eds to more than 520 media outlets in 158 countries, many of them in the Global South. But as we confront the grim financial realities facing many news outlets worldwide, that mission is increasingly under threat.
The Project Syndicate Friends Fund hosted by CAF America enables tax-deductible giving for Americans. All donations are used to support and advance the mission of Project Syndicate o.p.s, a 501(c)(3) equivalent non-profit based in the Czech Republic.
